Gordon G. 'Gordie' German Jr., 49

Gordon G. "Gordie" German Jr., 49, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

A private family service and inurnment will be held at the Brinkwood Family Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho, at a later date.

Gordie was born on July 24, 1956, in Astoria, Ore., the son of Gordon G. German Sr. and Helen G. (Messman) German. He graduated from Aberdeen High School and went to work for Weyerhaeuser Logging in Washington.

Gordie moved to Sandpoint with his family in 1997. At the time of his death, he was employed as a maintenance worker at the East Bonner County Library.

Gordie enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was known by his friends and family for his sense of humor and his friendly personality.

He is survived by four children, Gordon German III, Scott German, and Ashley Madison, all of Hoquiam, Wash., and Raleigh German, at the family home in Sandpoint. Being a descendent of the Hawkins and Ashley pioneer families of Bonner County, he is additionally survived by many cousins in this area.

Gordie was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kelly R. Andrew.
