SANDPOINT — An 18-year-old Sandpoint man was arrested Monday after reportedly crashing his car into Dub's Drive-In while drunk and then leaving the scene.

Terrence Raymond Dolan, was charged with underage DUI, consumption of alcohol and failing to report a collision.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash at about 7 p.m. and went outside to find Dolan inspecting damage to the Toyota Camry he was allegedly driving, court documents said.

There were no reports of injuries, although the crash knocked part of the restaurant's western wall off the foundation, wrecked some of the siding and destroyed one of the booths inside, according to the arrest report.

Sandpoint Police later found Dolan at his home. He passed some field sobriety tests, but failed others, and his blood alcohol level was measured at 0.05, the report said.

Dub's, which no longer operates as a drive-in, is named after Dub Lewis, who opened the business after retiring from the Sandpoint Police Department.
