Wilma Hildreth, 78
Wilma Jean Hildreth, 78 of Coeur d'Alene died Dec. 12, 2005 at home.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
She was born May 7, 1927, in Eldora, Iowa, to Jacob and Nellie (Stout) Fromm. The family moved to Dover, Idaho, in 1932 and she graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1945.
Upon graduating she was appointed price clerk for the OPA office in Sandpoint.
She married Dorrence "Bill" Hildreth on July 28, 1945. She was employed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Stone & Webster Engineering of Boston, Mass., on hydroelectric projects. She also worked for the Klickitat County Public Utility Department in Goldendale, Wash.
She moved to Hayden with her husband in 1968 and there served as councilman and mayor for the city of Hayden. Wilma worked for K.A. Durtschi Engineering for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bill at the home in Coeur d'Alene; a son, Edward Hildreth of Tumwater, Wash.; sisters, Maxine McDowell of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Margaret Heck of Spokane, Wash.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
