I can't understand the negative position of our Senator Craig on Senate Bill S1272 "A Belated Thank You to the Merchant Mariners of World War II Act of 2005." There are only about 9,000 left of us out of the 250,000 U.S. Merchant Marine volunteers of WW II.
With the highest casualty rate in the war (1 of 28 killed in action, the U.S. Merchant Mariners have been denied their G.I. Bill of Rights of 60 years. Senator Craig needs better advisors to represent his constituents (voters). Veterans in Idaho, please call Senator Craig and ask him to co-sponsor Senate Bill S1272.
