Glennis was born in Hawthorne, Calif., on April 21, 1964, to George Allen and Eulalia May (Francis) Ramsay. She moved with her family to Sandpoint in 1971, where she graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1982 and began her journey of life. Little did we know that her journey would impact this little town in such a wonderful way.
You probably met her behind the counter at Kentucky Fried Chicken on First Street years ago. She was the one with the smile all the time, or at Carrera's in the mall, making sure you were treated like a king or a queen. But her magical touch came when she got a job at St. Francis Daycare, where she became "Miss Glennis" and a new horizon shined ahead for her and her two children, Tony and Kymber.
She decided to open her own daycare and named it Precious Treasures, because your children were precious treasurers to her. Miss Glennis became a mom away from mom with so much love that often your children wanted to stay with her instead of going home. Her love kept them safe and warm. Whenever Miss Glennis came by or had something to do, you could always count one or two more children with her because she could never say not to anyone who wanted to stay the night, or follow her to wherever she was going. The children and their parents filled her life and her heart with unbelievable love, hat she showered all of us with love every day of her life.
Survivors include her father and mother, George and Eulalia Ramsay of California; brother, Ray Ramsay and wife, Lisa, of Sandpoint; sister, Georgia Caven and husband, Vern, of Sagle, Idaho; brother, Al Ramsay and fiance, Stacie Wright, of Sandpoint; brother, Robert Ramsay and wife, Rhonda, of Sandpoint, brother, Carl Ramsay and wife, Jennifer, of California; sister-in-law, Terri Ramsay; and numerous aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews.
