MIners defeat Wampus Cats Tuesday

WALLACE — The Wallace Miners girls scored another victory on Tuesday with a 65-46 win over the Clark Fork Wampus Cats.

The Miners and Wampus Cats started out close, ending the first quarter 8-7 in Clark Fork's favor. Wallace pulled ahead by half time with a 21-19 lead.

The Wampus Cats managed to keep up with the Miners in the third quarter, ending it 42-35, but couldn't close in on Wallace's 20 point lead by the final buzzer.

Wallace was led by Krista Williams led the Miners with 19 points, followed by Cara Hayman with 17 points.

Rashell Trunnell was the high scorer for the Wampus Cats with 12 points.
