Sandpoint overpowers Kellogg

KELLOGG — The visiting Sandpoint Bulldogs took a bite out of the host Kellogg Wildcats on Tuesday night, defeating their opponents 66-15 in non-league wrestling action at Andrews Gymnasium.

"The kids wrestled pretty well and did overall what I expected them to do," said Sandpoint coach Mike Randles.

Sandpoint had pins by junior Nick Uhnak at 189 pounds, sophomore Alec Ward (112), junior Alex Watson (130), sophomore Kyle Meschko (140), sophomore (Jarod Morris (152) and senior Joe Heil (171).

"Nick attacked well and scored a pin for us tonight," said Randles. "Kyle and Jarod also showed that they are coming along by getting us a couple pins.

" We have some pretty high expectations, but the guys are starting to work towards that."

Sandpoint hosts Post Falls for senior night on Thursday, Feb. 10. They then travel for the season finale against Lakeland on Saturday, Feb. 12 in Rathdrum.
