Morals and values?
Once again the Republican controlled Legislature has shown it can make the tough decisions, cutting off 2,600 sick children from medical care.
Why is it easier to cut programs that help the poorest and most vulnerable among us than to raise the necessary revenue to pay for that help? Unfortunately the answer is that most poor people don't vote.
As one of the poorest states in this country, it boggles my mind that we keep electing representatives that represent only those who don't need help. But where is it written that those who don't vote have to be the victims of public policy?
Add to that Idaho's claim to religious virtue and I have to wonder what moral or religious principles, if any, really drive our representatives.
