Clark Fork defeats Mullan in 1A District Tournament, Carrico grabs 15 rebounds in final game

RATHDRUM — Clark Fork junior Tiffany Van Buren scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Wampus Cats to a 56-24 win over the Mullan Tigers in the opener of the District 1A Tournament at Lakeland High School in Rathdrum.

Mullan senior Anali Carrico grabbed 15 rebounds and led the Tigers with nine points in her final game as a Tiger on the night. Tiger seniors Stacey Garitone and Jackie Smith had a combined seven points in their final games as well for Mullan.

Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers were Bev Hammond and Katlyn Valerio with three points apiece and D'Nay Beck with two points.

Clark Fork advances to Wallace Thursday at 6 p.m. at Lakeland High School.

Mullan finishes their season in the loss.
