Work to make a difference

| February 9, 2005 8:00 PM

Being called a cancerous growth hurt. Mr. Litsinger. Let me paint you a portrait of a radical, left-wing Democrat. I am a homeschooling mother of two. I've been married once and believe marriage a sacred bond between two people. We don't watch TV, we read, play games and eat dinner nightly at a kitchen table. I do as much community service as possible and try to teach the children the value of both, community and service.

I'm a firm believer in the rule of just laws and believe those laws should be applied equally to all, rich or poor, man or woman, black, white, red, yellow or brown. I believe murder wrong, be it war, the death penalty, or abortion. Making it illegal has never stopped it. Maybe it's time we looked at causes, not just effects.

I believe the Earth is sacred and that she should be treated accordingly. What we take for our own uses should be returned. In other words, a balanced earth budget. I pray every morning. I pray for peace, for snow and rain. I pray for the health of friends and family. I pray for the Earth.

Personally Mr. Litsinger, I feel as if I'm mending the fabric that makes America great. Perhaps Democrats should focus on what we have in common. Perhaps we should put aside our differences and focus on the goal of kicking some Republican butt. In the nicest possible way of course. Perhaps there is nothing in the center of the road but dead armadillos. Perhaps the Democratic party should move to the left and tackle these problems head on.
