Bible has the answers

In response to the "guest opinion" by Chris White last week, I decided to find out for my self what the different translations of the Bible have to say about the Bible. So I researched the verse 2 Timothy 3:16 in five different translations. They are as follows:

King James — "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect. thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

NIV "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Amplified — "Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience (and) for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose and action). So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work."

New Living Translation — "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize hat is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God way of preparing us in ever way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do."

Da Jesus Book (Hawaii Pidgin) — "Eh, everything inside da Bible stay dea, cuz God wen put um inside guys heads dat when talk to him befor time. Dass why everything inside da Bible, can use um fo teach, an fo sho wat wrong, an of help poepo pau do da bad kine stuff an come back an stick wit da good kine stuff, and fo teach people for do wass right. So from dat, da one dat stay all out fo God can get everything dey need for do all kine good stuff."

They all read the same to me. How about you?

The Bible is open for all of mankind to find the truth, the way and the life to our heavenly Father. In all fairness if you have never read the Bible don't knock it. Like the old saying goes, "you can't judge a book by its cover." And anyone seeking the truth about who God is and our purpose on this old ball of dirt should not neglect the reading of it; for it is truly the most amazing life-changing, saving-wisdom book you will ever encounter.
