Eagles rally past Cats

| February 15, 2005 8:00 PM

POST FALLS — Brack Adkins scored all of his 14 points in the fourth quarter and Tim Laux scored 9 of 14 points in the second period to lead Post Falls Christian to its 14th victory of the season, beating Clark Fork 55-42 to close out the regular season.

The Eagles (8-4 NSL, 14-6) lost just one game at home this season and outscored the Wampus Cats 21-10 in the final eight minutes.

"We got off to such a slow start it took us awhile to wake up," Post Falls Christian coach Tim Mitchell said. "We had six of our 16 steals in the second quarter to help tie it at half. That was big because we shot much better in the second half."

Danny Anderson hauled in 10 rebounds and Brad Shaw came down with nine to help the Eagles reel in the Wampus Cats. Matt Rouse finished with 11 points.

Stephen McDaniel led Clark Fork (4-7, 4-11) with 14 points and Clayton Hewitt added 11.

Post Falls Christian is the second seed in the North Star League and has a bye in the first round.
