Patt S. Dotson, 64

Patt S. Dotson, 64, of Sagle, Idaho, passed away on Feb. 19, 2005. in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Orlando, Fla. Patt moved to Lind County, Ore., and worked as a humane officer for 20 years before moving to Bonner County, Idaho, in 1979. There Patt spent another 20 years working with Bonner County as a humane officer, during that time she was hired by Chip Roos before retiring in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father of Odessa, Texas. Patt is survived by her husband Mike Dotson of Sagle; her father-in-law Carl Dotson of Sandpoint; son and daughter-in-law Chris and Marg Macanlass of Vancouver, Wash., Glen E. Garity of Boise, Idaho, Patrick and Tina Garity of Sandpoint, and daughter Dede Hanson of Turlock, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patt dedicated her life to many humanitarian efforts. In her spare time, Patt enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting, horses, and raising English Bulldogs. Known as "Mama Patt" by those around her, she brought joy and humor to everyone's lives.
