Howard Lee Scott

| January 16, 2005 8:00 PM

On Jan. 9, 2005, our loving and loved father, Howard Lee Scott, passed away suddenly, but peacefully after succumbing to a long, hard-fought battle with prostate cancer.

At Howard's request, there will be no services.

Howard was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Nov. 21, 1942. After high school he married Willena and served two years active duty in the United States Air Force.

After being honorably discharged he served his home city of Sandpoint, Idaho as a full-time fireman then as a city police officer. He moved on from there to serve the larger community of Bonner County, Idaho, as a deputy sheriff.

In 1974, Howard moved his family to Everett, Wash., where he and wife, Willena raised their five children in a home rich in love and commitment. The family would like to express their heart felt gratitude for the exceptional and loving care provided to our father by the seventh floor staff of Providence Everett Medical Center, Colby Campus, in his last days.

The family would also like to express our deeply felt appreciation to all family and friends who were there with us.

Howard is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 44 years, Willena Scott; his children, Lois Jamieson, Cindy Scott, Mark (Natsue) Scott, Kimberly (Bradley) Thomas and Valerie (Brian) Franklin; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Clyde and Richard; and a sister, Betty. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; his mother, Violet; and brothers: Charles, Donald and Merritt.

Arrangements under direction of The Neptune Society.
