Bonners Ferry tops Priest River 52-47

PRIEST RIVER — The first half wasn't pretty for either team, but an exciting second half saw the visiting Bonners Ferry Badgers edge Priest River in Intermountain League action.

The Badgers were led by Matt Simpson with 10 points.

The Spartans saw action from senior Stevie Walkup, who has been ineligible to play all season. He helped the Spartans with eight points and teammate Jake Flaherty led the squad with a dozen.

The Spartans (7-8) travel to Freeman on Saturday.
