Sandpoint tops Lewiston, Moscow

MOSCOW — With the 4A wrestling district tournament just a few weeks away, the Sandpoint Bulldogs continue get mat time and rack up wins.

Thursday night, the Bulldogs topped Lewiston 41-24 in head-to-head action.

"Lewiston is a decent dual team and our kids looked a lot better than they did in our last outing (in Bonners Ferry)," said Sandpoint coach Mike Randles.

Sandpoint also wrestled Moscow, however, the Bears did not field a complete team, which gave the Bulldogs a nearly uncontested victory (score not available).

Against Lewiston, the Bulldogs had a pin by Sheldon Cramer at 215 pounds, and a technical fall by sophomore Joey Fio (119).

The Bulldogs are scheduled to face the Wildcats in Kellogg on Tuesday.
