Clifford E. 'Butch' Millar

Clifford E. "Butch" Millar passed away Jan. 23, 2005, of cancer.

Cremation has been done according to Cliff's wishes. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

Clifford was born June 30, 1940, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

He attended school in Sandpoint. The family moved to Hot Springs, Mont., where he furthered his education. He then moved to Thompson Falls, where he attended school. He then joined the National Guard and later transferred to the navy.

He married Ginny Thermon, his first wife; and had three children. In 1983, he married Marie White, which added four children to his family.

In 1975, he went to work in a body shop with his dad. Around 1976, he worked at Pack River and W.I. Forest Product and was a member of the volunteer fire department until he injured his back. He did lock and key work for businesses and residences. He also filled in at the transfer station.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting with his father and family. He also enjoyed recycling metals.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Marie Millar; his mother, Margaret Millar; his sister, Shelli Skinner; his children, Mika (Marcie) Millar; Dana Millar, Shon (Sara) Millar, Calvin Schneider, Lisa (Tim) Anderson, Kenneth Schneider, and Robert (Paula) White; nine grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Millar, on May 13, 1996.
