Doyle Miilton Clapp, 86, passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services will be held.

Doyle (Dagwood) was born on April 16, 1918, in St. John, Wash., to Edwin and Zelma Clapp. He married Wilma A. (Blondie) Kirkham on July 7, 1940.

Doyle possessed many talent, was a wise and loyal man with a loving heart of gold. Doyle and Wilma owned and operated a family business in Moses Lake for many years. During this time, he touched the lives of many in the community and enjoyed life, surrounded by his family and friends. Life was not always easy, but Doyle made the best of everything with courage, dignity and a great sense of humor. One of his greatest passions in life was flying his Piper Tri Pacer airplane all around the Pacific Northwest, making friends wherever he went. One of his mottos was, "Find one positive thing to do every day, then do it."

Doyle is loved and remembered by his sisters, Wilma Ray and Norma Ogilvie; his two daughters, Barbara Collins and Marylin Kirkham; his grandchildren, Michelle Eaman, Carl Carbon III, Mark Carbon and Julie Harper; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Clapp in June 1997.

He will be missed by all.
