SANDPOINT — Two teens have been taken into custody in connection with a break-in at the Pack River Store last month.

Richard Franklin Kissner and Walter Michael Ford-Bridges are each charged with burglary and misdemeanor possession of stolen property. The two are being held at the juvenile detention center at the Bonner County Jail until their next court appearances.

Sheriff's deputies acting on a tip arrested Kissner and Ford-Bridges, both 17-year-old county residents, at a Colburn Culver Road home on Friday, a week after the Pack River Store on Rapid Lightning Road was burglarized.

Store owners reported several cartons of cigarettes, dozens of packs of cigarillos and dozens of cans of chewing tobacco were taken after thieves forced open a back window on Jan. 21. The merchandise was valued at more than $400, according to court documents.

After being confronted by investigators, Kissner admitted to possessing some of the swag from the burglary, an arrest report said. Kissner fingered Ford-Bridges as an accomplice, but Ford-Bridges denied being involved in the break-in, saying Kissner showed up at his home with the stolen tobacco.
