NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bonner County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at the following time on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in the Board Room of the Bonner County Courthouse, 215 S. First Avenue, Sandpoint, Idaho, to consider the following request:

1:30 P.M. - FILE CS830-05 - SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR A TRIATHLON - LAKE TO FOREST, INC. is seeking a special use permit to conduct the Lake to Forest Triathlon, a one day event involving bicycle, foot and swimming races. The event will be held Sunday, July 31, 2005 in the Garfield Bay area at Lake Pend Oreille, +/- 14-1/2 miles southeast of Sandpoint. Event headquarters are the Garfield Bay Recreation area. Race events will take place in Garfield Bay, Lake Pend Oreille, and along public roads including, Sagle Road, Bottle Bay Road, Lignite Road, Mineral Point Road and Garfield Bay Cut-off Road. The race will also take place along a U.S. Forest Service bike trail.

Please contact the Bonner County Planning Department the day before the scheduled hearing to verify if this item will be heard on the date and at the time specified or continued to another date and time.

IN THE EVENT THAT OCCUPANCY OF THE BOARD ROOM EXCEEDS FIRE CODE STANDARDS, THE HEARINGS COULD BE RELOCATED TO ANOTHER PUBLIC LOCATION WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. SIGNS WILL BE POSTED IDENTIFYING THE NEW LOCATION.
