Myra Catherine 'Cathy' Ranney, 57

Myra Catherine "Cathy" Ranney, 57, passed away on July 13, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Friends may join the family to celebrate Cathy's life at the Eagle's Lodge at noon on Sunday, July 24, in Sandpoint.

Cathy was born on Sept. 6, 1946, in Boise, Idaho, the second child of Richard and Helen (Beatty) Lutters. She grew up in Boise and attended local schools there.

She married Daniel F. Ranney on Aug. 10, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Cathy worked for the Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper and later moved to Sandpoint with her family.

She enjoyed her garden, arts and crafts, spending time with her family and friends and watching her favorite TV program, "The Young and the Restless."

Cathy was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Elks Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Ranney of Sagle, Idaho; her daughters, Tra'Lyn Dione Johnson of Sandpoint, Dianna Lee Farho of Omaha, Neb., Carolyn May Ranney of Omaha, Katie Lynn Burr of Omaha, and Lisa Marie Arellano of Omaha; her sons, Bradley Troy Johnson of Sandpoint and Tory Kenneth Johnson of Sandpoint; grandchildren, Richard Geddings, Joey Rakowski, Troy Johnson, Megan Rakowski and Leola Johnson; niece, Cheryl Gloshen; and two nephews, Brian and John Gloshen.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Helen Lutters.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
