Evelyn Claire Lyon, 61
Evelyn Claire Lyon, 61, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2005, in Ponderay, Idaho.
A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Coffelt's Moon Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Coffelt's Moon Chapel. Graveside services will be held at noon, Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Clark Fork Cemetery in Clark Fork, Idaho. Cliff Eberley will officiate.
Evelyn was born on May 5, 1944, in Butte, Mont., the daughter of Owen and Eunice (Kytonen) Cutler. She moved to Clark Fork, Idaho, in 1956, where she attended school and graduated from high school. She married Layton Wilson in 1962 and they had five children.
Evelyn married Ken Lyon on June 1, 1984, in Sandpoint, Idaho. She and Ken enjoyed playing pool together, going fishing at the Green Monarchs and playing cards, especially rummy.
She continued to live in Clark Fork until October 2004 when she moved to Ponderay.
She enjoyed shopping, putting together jigsaw puzzles, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her niece, Jacque. Evelyn also loved to do Karaoke.
Evelyn attended the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sandpoint.
She is survived by three children, Faith, Laura and William; five grandchildren; a brother, Charley Cutler of Twin Falls, Idaho; a sister, Dorothy (John) Cantrell of Sandpoint; and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn also is survived by her companion and friend, Micky, her dog who brought her great joy and comfort.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Norma Jean and Diane Lynn; her husband, Ken; and three sisters, Shirley Cutler, Helen Cutler and Bonnie Armstrong.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
