Desperate times call for desperate measures

| July 27, 2005 9:00 PM

If you walk like a duck, quack like a duck, then you might be a duck. So what if I have dark skin, and a beard.

I'm not a terrorist. But if they want to stop me from boarding a train or what ever and search me, search away. My mom and dad taught me a long time ago if you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.

I find it strange that the people that scream the loudest about their "rights" have never spent time in the United States

Military fighting for their "rights." I may never have seen combat but I did serve my country. And I was there in case I was needed. I trained along with a whole bunch of Americans so that if called upon I and all who I trained with would be able to defend our country and our rights and liberties.

There was a song back when I was growing up and one of the lines went "The times they are a-changin." Well they are. We as Americans need to adapt, improvise and overcome. I'm sorry but if profiling stops the carnage then so be it. We need to give the police and the law abiding citizens a tool to stop all of the terror that has gripped this great nation of ours.
