Thomas Duane Ellis, 59, of Holualoa, passed away on June 10, 2005 at Kona Community Hospital.

A memorial service was held on June 27, 2005 at Honokohau Beach Park in Hawaii.

Tom was born Feb. 3, 1946 and, prior to moving to the Islands, was a long-time resident of Hope, Idaho.

He owned a plumbing supply business in Sandpoint. Tom was an avid Lake Pend Oreille fisherman and served as president of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ellis of Holualoa; sons, Daniel (Amber) Ellis of Kailua-Kona, Jimmy (Keri) Ellis of Tillamook, Ore., Ronald Ellis; daughters Donna Ellis, Tambi Ellis; mother Wilma Ellis of Watsonville, Calif.; brothers Bobby Ellis, Danny Ellis, both of Watsonville, Calif., Jimmy Ellis of Modesto, Calif.; sisters Jerolyn (Sonny) Allisn, Sarah (Richard) Douglas, Marianne Coxwell all of Watsonville, Calif.; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
