SANDPOINT — After being overlooked at the end of his senior year for his numerous contributions to the Sandpoint basketball program throughout his high school career, Bryan Tollbom has silenced many of his critics with an outstanding college season with Treasure Valley.

The Sandpoint grad finished his freshman year at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore., as one of the team's brightest new rising stars.

"Bryan has a great feel for the game, he has potential to be a poor man's Tyshawn Prince from the Detroit Pistons," said Treasure Valley head basketball coach Derrick Boles. "Bryan's versatility and size has made him a legitimate Division II , Division I prospect . His development this summer will be a key for his future success."

During the season, Tollbom helped the Chukars get into the playoffs with a 21 point, eight rebound, five assist performance against Blue Mountain Community College.

"Bryan will be counted on heavily to be one of our leaders and mentors for our freshman class coming in. Both on and off the floor," added Boles.
