| June 6, 2005 9:00 PM

Frances Bernice Milbrath, 99, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Sandpoint Church of the Nazarene, 477954 Highway 95 N., Ponderay, Idaho.

Frances was born on April 16, 1906, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Emil and Anna (Nordquist) Johnson. She grew up in south Minneapolis, graduated from West High School and attended night school for two years.

On July 29, 1931, she married Lyndon Arthur Milbrath. Frances' early years were spent in St. Louis Park, Minn., and in 1954, they built a home on the lake in Detroit Lake, Minn. Frances loved the lakes but around 1960, they settled in the Palm Springs area due to her husband's health.

After the death of her husband, Frances traveled around the states visiting her children and families and her many friends.

In 1993, she moved to Spokane, Wash., to be closer to her son, David and family. In June 2001, Frances entered Life Care Center of Sandpoint. She began another period in her life, again meeting new friends and keeping in touch with the old.

Her greatest joys in life were her family and many friends everywhere. We will miss her bread baking, help with "the kids," interest in all the family activities, her care, concern, kindness, understanding and, most of all, her unconditional love and deep faith in the Lord.

She is survived by her three children, Robert Milbrath, Gretchen Rasheed and David (Joan) Milbrath; nine grandchildren, Leslie Cashmore, Lynn Eckerline, Lisa Milbrath and Ben Milbrath, Kais Rasheed and Kimberly Smith, Scott Milbrath, Kelly Milbrath and Jamie Wilks; and 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Frances loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed live flowers. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Sandpoint Church of the Nazarene, 477954 Highway 95, Ponderay, ID 83852, for a living garden on the church grounds.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
