David Paul Johnson, 45, passed away in Ponderay, Idaho, on May 28, 2005.

Private family memorial services will be held later.

David was born in Denver, Colo., on Feb. 24, 1960, attending school there and graduating from high school. He worked as a commercial welder, moving to the Sandpoint, Idaho, area in 2001.

His hobbies were fishing, camping and art work.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri L. Johnson of Ponderay; his mother, Betty Johnson of Sandpoint; two brothers, Gilbert Johnson of Denver, Colo., and Steven Yanke of Spirit Lake, Idaho; three sisters, Valarie (Brian) Lovenstein of Parker, Colo., Theresa (Scott) Montrull of Littleton, Colo., and Jennifer (Jim) Hagar of Beaverton, Ore.; a great-aunt, Simone Vincent of Sandpoint; and a cousin, Elaine (Don) Fararr of Sandpoint.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
