Sandi Sappingfield, 85, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, June 8, 2005.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., MST, on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, in the Noxon Community Church in Noxon, Mont. Interment will follow in the Noxon Cemetery.

Sandi was born on Aug. 18, 1919, in Cadillac, Mich., and graduated from high school in Grand Marais, Mich., in 1937. She married Carl Sanderlin on June 25, 1938, in Derton, Mich., and he preceded her in death.

She lived in Grand Rapids, Mich., prior to moving to San Bernadino, Calif., and working as a nurse. She retired in 1982 and married Frank Sappingfield in Sandpoint, Idaho.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, and being out of doors. Her favorite flowers were lilacs and irises.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Sappingfield; two brothers, Art and Jessica Blaisdale, and family; and Jim and Betty Blaisdale and family; daughter, Carlene and Bill Blacketer; grandchildren, Bill and Pam Svec, and great-grandchildren, Katrina, Carl and Steven; grandchildren, Eric and Amy Blacketer, and great-grandchild, Alexander; grandchild, Norman Blacketer, and great-grandchild, Keylyn; grandchild, Daryl Franke; grandchild, Lori Hanley, great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Ronald, Matthew and Shawnda; and great-grandchild, Hailey; grandchildren, George and DeeDee Blacketer; son, Ray and Joyce Sanderlin, grandchildren, Daniel and Melodi Sanderlin, and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Sarai and Ian; grandchildren, David and Kim Sanderlin, and great-grandchildren, Korben and Kyra; grandchildren, Stephanie Neiman and family, Bill Neiman and family and David Neiman and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
