The 2005 runsize of spring and summer Chinook salmon to the Snake River will be much lower than forecast, reducing the fishery opportunity for harvestable hatchery fish. Pursuant to his authority under Idaho Code, Section 36-106(e)(6)(A), the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Director hereby closes the spring Chinook salmon season on June 14, in the Mainstream Clearwater River from Railroad Bridge at Lewiston upstream to the South Fork of the Clearwater River, the North Fork of the Clearwater River, and the Lower Salmon River from the Hammer Creak boat ramp upstream to a posted line at the mouth of the Little Salmon River at Riggins.

Copies of Order 05-17 are available at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game headquarters office, 600 South Walnut Avenue, Boise, Idaho 83712.
