William 'Billy Joe' Darcy Sands, 24

William "Billy Joe" Darcy Sands, 24, of Blanchard, Idaho, drowned Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in a swimming accident.

A wake will be held at 3 p.m. on July 2, 2005, to celebrate his life at his parents' home at 320 McDonald Creek Rd. in Blanchard.

He was born April 18, 1981, at Newport Hospital.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is very much loved and will be greatly missed. He loved and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and grandson.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Terina Held, and beloved daughter, Lilly Sands of Newport, Wash.; parents, Robert and Mary Sands; brothers and sisters, Frank and Christi Johnson, Erin Darcy, Mike Darcy, Michelle Smith-Werley, Angela Sands and Nick Kruger; nephews, Matthew and Dylan Johnson and Ethan Rosenquist, all of Blanchard, and Jennifer Sands of Tangent, Ore.; and grandparents, Jack and Martha Miranda of Post Falls, Idaho.
