Property owners have no rights

| June 29, 2005 9:00 PM

The laws are defined in print; but, are meaningless in real life unless you have money to "litigate."

With a "no trespassing" and a "private road" sign, you are powerless to stop nightly joggers on your private road. Even when they are caught throwing rocks at your fenced-in dog because he's barking at them, resulting in injury and a trip to the vet! Even with direct verbal confrontation they just smirk and keep on jogging!

What about "out-of-state liars" coming for the "land-grab" thinking clear-cutting is "parking out" while cutting down your trees knowingly just for a better view? Who has to hire the lawyer for property destruction? The victimized property owner.

Law enforcement thinks because these two people were so polite to them that "we locals" are the troublemakers.

These outsiders reacted to direct confrontation by hitting, kicking and chasing this property owner down the road … meanwhile … cutting down more trees, moving no trespassing signs and boundary markers, showing no interest in water lines, water rights raping the environment, and using unmarked logging trucks for easy no accountability.

This is all acceptable behavior by law enforcement because they were so polite.

"Right-to-work" for nothing laws do not sustain the "human rights" rhetoric because we the working poor are being shoved aside for the bright and shiny new people and all their bright, huge, shiny new homes.

Our wages don't allow us the justice and privileges of the "other" America, AKA the rich!!!
