People could opt out of Social Security changes

Larry Smith in his diatribe (Feb. 20, 2005), against Social Security privatization forgot to mention that there would be an option of choice. If you are unsure about handling a portfolio because you can't balance a checkbook, then by all means choose to remain in the current system.

Frankly I'd just as soon scrap the whole proposal if I have to put up with all the ranting and whining from the geezers who wouldn't be affected by it in the first place.
