Bulldogs send six to annual all-star games

MULLAN — The annual District 1 All-Star Games will tip-off this Friday night from the Mullan Pavilion.

Players will be made up of High School seniors from around North Idaho schools including: Kellogg, Wallace, Mullan, Lakeland, Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai, Sandpoint, Post Falls Christian, Timberlake, Lakeside, Priest River and St. Maries.

Representing Sandpoint this year, on their respective teams, will be Kelsey James, Elle Carne, Ben Mitchell, Anthony Sorentino, Blake Mahler and Chris Hepperly.

Priest River will be sending Rachel Schlechte, Lesa Barber, Callie Jo Turner, Stevie Walkup, Jake Flatherty and Geoff Gregory.

Senior Clayton Hewitt will be playing for Clark Fork and Brian Cossairt for Bonners Ferry.

Members of the East team will practice this Wednesday at Post Falls High School, with the girls practicing from 6 to 7 p.m. and the boys from 7 to 8 p.m.

West team members practice at Timberlake High School, with the girls practicing from 6 to 7 p.m. and the boys from 7 to 8 p.m.

A $100 scholarship will be awarded to the MVP from each game.
