Mildred King
Mildred (Mid Craig) King died Feb. 28, 2005, in Whitefish, Mont., after a previous illness.
Cremation has taken place at her request, and there will be no services. At a later date, her ashes will be placed at the Fortine Cemetery.
She was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Sept. 21, 1928, growing up in Sagle, Idaho. She later moved with her parents to McMinnville, Ore., where she went to high school.
She later married Ford Lady, and the couple had three children. The couple later divorced. She married George Dempsey on April 27, 1965. The couple lived in Spokane, Wash., for 19 years. He died in 1987.
In 1998, she moved to Eureka to be close to her daughter, Judith "J.J." Pomeroy. Later she met Fred King and fell in love with him. The couple married on Jan. 29, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands; her parents, Hazel and Otto Craig; a brother, Ray Craid; and a daughter, Judith Pomeroy of Sandpoint. Survivors include her beloved husband, Fred at the home in Eureka; a son, Rolly Lady and wife, Bunni; a daughter, Vonnie Waltion and husband, Tom; a sister, Mary Dimmitt and husband, Ivan; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
