Kaul named manager of PSB's Sandpoint office

SANDPOINT — Panhandle State Bank has announced the promottion of vice president and commercial loan officer, Travis Kaul to branch manager of the Sandpoint office.

Kaul is taking the helm from president, Bill Dowling, who has announced his upcoming retirement in October 2005.

Kaul graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and banking. He is also a 2003 graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. He began his career with Panhandle State Bank in 1996 as manager of the Ponderay branch before relocating to the Sandpoint office in 2000 to focus on commercial lending.

Kaul is looking forward to the challenges of managing the bank's largest branch as well as achieving new levels in terms of growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

"Most importantly I will be encouraging the personal growth of our staff and supporting their individual goals. Kaul has lived in the Sandpoint area for the past 10 years and is very committed to the community. He has served as president of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and remains active with Citizens for Quality Education, and is a member of Rotary. Kaul, his wife Kim, and their two children enjoy the outdoors and enjoy their many hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing excursions in the Northwest.
