COEUR d'ALENE — Junior Brent Everson went 1 for 2 with three RBIs to lead the Timberwolves past the Bulldogs in nonleague action.

Everson's two-run single capped a four-run third inning for Lake City (2-0).

"K.C. McDonald played well at short(stop), and the pitching was a little sporadic but we got the job done," Lake City coach Cory Bridges said. "Sandpoint is always a tough opponent."

Sandpoint fell to 0-1.

Lake City plays at the Lewiston Tournament on Saturday.
