Nancy Lowry Ostrosky, 85

Nancy Lowry Ostrosky, 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Private family services have been held.

Nancy was born on May 2, 1919 in Sommerset, Pa., to Samuel and Mariam Lowry. After high school she entered Syracuse University in New York, where she studied English.

Nancy married Harry E. Ostrosky on Aug. 10, 1940, in Sommerset, Pa. The couple made their home in Washington, D.C. Nancy worked in personnel for the Quartermaster Corp. and later for the CIA. In 2004, she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to be closer to her sisters.

Nancy is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sandpoint. She enjoyed reading, writing children's poetry and books, and caring for the elderly.

She is survived by two sisters, Sally Lowry of Sagle, Idaho, and Linda (Bill) Drayton of Naples, Idaho; and a brother, Samuel Lowry of Tucson, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry.
