Pauline Lenore 'Paula' Tinsley, 80

Pauline Lenore "Paula" Tinsley, 80, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2005, at The Bridge Assisted Living in Sandpoint.

Paula was born July 10, 1924, in Fruita, Colo., to Theodore and Nellie Reed. She grew up and attended schools in Fruita. She attended the University of Colorado where she studied accounting. Paula married Ishmael Worth Tinsley on July 22, 1942, in Clifton, Colo. They were later divorced in 1968.

Paula then lived in Denver for a short period of time and later in Orange County, Calif., for six years. She moved to Havelock, N.C., in the early 1980s to be closer to her sister. She completed her accounting degree and worked as an accountant for the city of Havelock.

After her retirement in 1990, she moved to Arcata, Calif., until November 2002 when she moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, to be closer to family. She has been residing at The Bridge Assisted Living where she made many friends and was very happy.

She is survived by her two sons, Duane (Linda) Tinsley of Thomton, Colo., and Michael (Linda) Tinsley of Careywood, Idaho; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen (Homer) Gleckner of Sun City, Calif.; a brother, Raymond (Lillian) Reed of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Speaker of Rifle, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters. Cathleen Ann and Janita Sue Tinsley; and a sister. Berniece Reed Speaker.
