COEUR d'ALENE — Sandpoint High School senior Caitlyn Free signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for North Idaho College next fall.

"I think that this just solidifies what a strong program Sandpoint has," said Sandpoint volleyball coach Tiwi Nicks. "This continues the history that we've had and shows that we produce top quality athletes."

The Bulldog standout will be joining two former Sandpoint graduates, Kelsey Kinzer and Katie Lippi on the Cardinal squad. Sarah Johnston of Priest River is also playing for NIC.

"Caitlyn will do wonderful down there and I think she'll have a great time," said Nicks. "NIC has a great program that's been strong for a lot of years, and Bret Taylor is a great coach."

Last fall, the Cardinal volleyball team finished with a 28-19 overall record.
