Support district by voting yes on the levy

When I came to town a few years back and founded the Panhandle Alliance for Education, it was not easy being a public school advocate. There was a lot of criticism, some of it wrong and mean-sprited.

Well, today it is easy to support the schools because the Lake Pend Oreille School District is doing just great. There's a broadly respected superintendent in place supported by a fine staff including a highly skilled and effective business manager.

I hope the community will join me in saying to the district and its teachers "keep up the good work" by supporting Tuesday's supplemental school levy.
