Grace was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Wausau, Wis., to Jack Jr. and Mary (Walkusz) Egeler. She lovingly raised nine children on her own while working as a waitress at Sonoma Joe's Restaurant in Petaluma, Calif.

In 1996, she retired and relocated to Sandpoint, Idaho, to enjoy fishing and the great outdoors.

She was an avid church member who participated in St. Joseph's Altar Society and volunteered on Fridays at the "soup kitchen."

She was a great listener and people enjoyed her feisty spirit. Bowling, crocheting, gardening and feeding the neighborhood birds were among her "retirement" interests. At Christmas, she could be found at the retirement homes passing out handmade angels, spreading her smile and love to those she met.

Grace is survived by seven children, Patricia Howie of Mercer Island, Wash., Darlene Nutter of Clearlake, Calif., Linda (Rick) Lonergan of Kankakke, Ill., Bonnie (Bill) Myers and Jim Furuli of Petaluma, Calif., Marie (Chuck) DiGiulio and Rose (Keith) Macy of Sandpoint; 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Earl and Charles Nutter; her brothers, Steve and Randy Pashilk; and her sister, Lucille Lepak.

Memorials may be sent to Rose Macy, 335 S. Lavina, Sandpoint, Idaho, 83864.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
