Allen and Fiedler lead teams at Moscow Invite

MOSCOW — Rayna Allen swept through the competition at the Moscow Invitational tennis tournament for a first place girls singles championship Monday.

In the No. 3 girls singles division, Sandpoint's Callie Fiedler won first place. Sandpoint senior Kelsey James finished as the No. 1 girls singles consolation champ.

Clark Fork's Mike Martin earned a fourth place finish in the men's singles category, while the mixed doubles pair of Tia Becker and Thomas McMahon placed fourth in their division.

BOYS SINGLES — No. 2, Mike Martin, Clark Fork: Lost to Moscow 1-6, 2-6; defeated Sandpoint 6-6 (7-5), 6-4; defeated Post Falls, 6-1, 6-1; lost to Pullman, 1-6, 2-6.

BOYS DOUBLES — No. 1, Nathan Allen-Kyle Dishaw, Clark Fork: Lost to Lake City 3-6, 3-6; lost to Post Falls 2-6, 1-6.

MIXED DOUBLES — No. 2, Tia Becker-Thomas McMahon, Clark Fork: Defeated Clarkston, 6-3, 6-2; defeated Sandpoint, 7-5, 6-4; lost to Moscow, 3-6, 2-6; lost to Clarkston, 4-6, 4-6.

GIRLS SINGLES — No. 1, Rayna Allen, Clark Fork (undefeated) en route to a first place finish.
