What would Jefferson do about building department

The ongoing dispute over the building department, pits our individual freedom against the special interests of Realtors, architects, government agencies, financial institutions, etc. Hopefully, the county commissioners will reject this special interest attempt to further expand our county government which is already ballooning at more than twice the rate of inflation and population growth, combined. As Thomas Jefferson once said, "If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people, under the pretext of taking care of them, we must be happy."
