Lake City tops Sandpoint 8-4

SANDPOINT — Sweeping the field in girls doubles action, the Lake City tennis team topped Sandpoint Thursday by winning eight of 12 matches at Travers Park.

Lake City's Cristan Rieben and Niki Stevens defeated Emma Miller and Jessie Novak in the No. 1 girls doubles match 6-3, 6-4. Zoe Almeida and Elise Cunningaham won the No. 2 match.

Sandpoint senior Kelsey James defeated Emilee Plank in the No. 1 girls singles match, 6-4, 6-4.

Lake City will play in the Inland Empire Tournament today and Saturday in Spokane.
