Clark Fork wins district tennis title
CLARK FORK — Despite having six rookie players this season, the Clark Fork tennis team took first place at the 1A-3A District 1 tournament with a score of 108 points.
The Wampus Cats had three individual champions, which included sophomore Rayna Allen in girls singles, Nate Allen and Kyle Dishaw in boys doubles and Mike Martin in boys singles.
Martin, a freshman, defeated last year's district champ. Then finished out the tournament in the championship match against Clark Fork junior Bill Clayton, who finished second.
Clark Fork freshman Thomas McMahon and junior Tia Becker (mixed doubles) also placed second in their division, while Kalynn Wold and Jennifer Gauthier battled hard for third in girls doubles.
Dustin Gannon and Michelle Haase in mixed doubled placed sixth.
The second place team was Troy with 65 points out of eight schools from District 1 1A to 3A division programs.

GIRLS SINGLES — Rayna Allen: won three matches.
BOYS SINGLES — Mike Martin: won four matches. Bill Clayton: won three and lost one.
MIXED DOUBLES — Tia Becker-Thomas McMahon: won three and lost one. Michelle Haase-Dustin Gannon: won three and lost three.
GIRLS DOUBLES — Kalynn Wold-Jennifer Gauthier: won five and lost one. Serina O'dell Brockus-Jessica Lee: lost two matches.
BOYS DOUBLES — Nate Allen-Kyle Dishaw: won three matches.
