Poelstra makes IEL baseball team
SANDPOINT — Sandpoint High School senior Glenn Poelstra has been named to the Inland Empire League's first team.
Ricky Klontz, an SHS junior, was picked for the second team and Amy Hilland won an honorable mention.
Senior Cody Brubaker, who helped Post Falls to a second-place finish at the state 4A baseball tournament, was named Player of the Year in IEL baseball.
Sophomore pitcher Jenna DeLong, who led Coeur d'Alene to a runner-upu finish at the state 5A tournament, was named MVP of the IEL in softball. Junior Erika Willy of Post Falls was tabbed Newcomer of the Year, and first-year Lake City coach Laura Tolzmann was named Coach of the Year.
