EWU Eagles add a Bulldog to the roster
CHENEY — The Eastern Washington University women's soccer program has announced the addition of Sandpoint soccer standout Abby Jensen, who signed a letter of intent to attend EWU and compete for the Eagles during the 2005 season.
Jensen, who helped her team take first in the Idaho State High School Championships three out of four years, won All-League first team honors as well as Spokesman-Review first team honors from 2002 to 2004.
In 2003, Jensen was her team's assist leader. She was also part of the Idaho State Olympic Development Program from 2001 to 2003.
"Abby's size and strength on the ball, as well as her ability to change the point of attack, will allow us to free up other players to play different positions and should really strengthen our team," said EWU soccer women's soccer head coach George Hageage. "I am excited that we have brought in quality center-mids who should be the future of EWU soccer."
