Hideaway Lounge held up at gunpoint

PONDERAY — An armed man held up the Hideaway Lounge at gunpoint late Friday night, according to Ponderay Police.

There were no injuries, although the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Officer John Givens. The robbery happened at about 10 p.m. in the lounge, which is located in the Bonner Mall.

The suspect exited the building and left in a vehicle described as an older, dark-colored sedan with Idaho license plates. The suspect was described as having a dark complexion, a medium build and stood about 6 feet tall. He believed to be in his 20s or 30s.

Givens said a handgun was brandished in the robbery, but he was unable to elaborate.
