Robert Lee 'Bob' Buck, 76
Robert Lee "Bob" Buck, 76, Spokane Valley, Wash. resident, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Pastor Ken Buck, his son, will officiate with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Bob was born in Castana, Iowa, on Sept. 20, 1929, the son of George and Mabel (Humphrey) Buck. He moved to Elmira, Idaho, in 1939, and attended Bonner County schools. He left school early to work with his father in the woods and began his road building career.
He married Rosa Marie Sitton on Aug. 31, 1948, in Thompson Falls, Mont.
He owned and operated his own logging truck working in the timber industry. In 1966, he moved to Spokane, Wash. He established Delta Summit in 1977, a family road building business. He built roads in Idaho, Washington and Montana prior to retiring in 1994.
His love in life was building roads and operating heavy equipment.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and a good game of pinochle.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosa Buck, of Spokane Valley; four children, Gary Buck of Lapwai, Idaho, Bob Buck of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Ken Buck of Colbert, Wash., and Joaine Wiecks of Spokane Valley; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Mel Buck of Sandpoint; a sister, Florence Covey of Spokane Valley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Ivan, Don and Ted.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
