SANDPOINT — Senior wing Michael Henderson got the Bulldogs going early and senior forward Brian Shultz carried the load late as the Bulldogs put away Mt. Baker 68-40 Monday night at Les Rogers Court.

Henderson never missed a shot all night as he scored 10 of his 14 points in the first five minutes of the game.

"Henderson is playing very confident," said Bulldog coach Tyler Haynes. "He carried us in the first quarter. He's looking within the offense and taking good shots."

Shultz did most of his damage in the third quarter, when the Bulldogs put the game out of reach. He finished with a game high 21 points and seven rebounds.

"Shultz had a lot of young guys with him in the third quarter and he took over and did a great job of leading," said Haynes.

Scott Anderson led Mt. Baker with 15 points as his team was never able to make the game close.

The Bulldogs (2-0) were energized by the physical presence of senior Andrew Meaux, who returned from a leg injury to post five points and 4 rebounds and controlled the paint.

Michael Brewer rolled his ankle in the first half, but it didn't appear too serious and he should be ready for the Bulldogs next game, which will be home against St. Maries on Dec. 7.
